Routine

Safari Itinerary

Day 1

Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park and Half Game Drive

Early in the morning at 05:00 AM, our driver will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Mikumi National Park, with a packed lunchbox included, the drive will take you about 6 hours to be in Mikumi.

You will arrive at 11:00 AM and start on a game drive. After lunch, proceed with an afternoon game drive. This park is home to elephants, lions, wild dogs, zebras, hyenas, buffalo, wildebeest, eland, hartebeest, crocodiles, lizards, and other residents. You can also observe the more than 300 species of birds found in this park.

Dinner and overnight will be at Mikumi Cottage/Mikumi Bandas inside the park. 

Day 2

Mikumi NP to Udzungwa / Sanje Waterfalls

Enjoy an early morning/sunrise game drive at 06:00 AM. Return for breakfast, then continue with the morning game viewing. This is the best time for game viewing as it’s the time when most of the killings take place.

Later at 08:00 AM, you’ll drive to Udzungwa Mountain with a visit to Sanje Waterfall with a beautiful, scenic view, after having a full enjoyment at Udzungwa Mountain National park, you’ll descend down the Bastian Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Maasai Tour then drive to Dar es Salaam

Before breakfast at 06:30 AM, experience a tremendous early-morning visit to a Maasai village near Mikumi National Park. Here, you will learn about their lifestyle, enjoy dances, and even buy some Maasai gifts for your family.

After having full experienced Maasai tour you’ll have breakfast and later start driving back to Dar es Salaam at 10:00 AM.
