Safari Overview

Mikumi National Park has been slated to become a hotspot for tourism in Tanzania located between the Uluguru Mountains and the Lumango range and is the fourth largest national park in Tanzania. This safari offers you 2 days (1 night) in Mikumi National Park which is in Southern Tanzania in the Morogoro region about 320 kilometers from Dar es Salaam. This safari is scheduled to start at 4:30 AM from Dar es Salaam.

Safari Itinerary

Day 1

Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park

You will be picked up at your hotel at 4:30 AM to start your tour. It will take you 310 kilometers from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park for 5 hours. You can expect to be at Mikumi around 10:00 AM and start the day game drive. This park covers 3230 square kilometers. Mikumi National Park is set between Ulunguru Mountains north and Lumango Mountains south East. Mikumi is home to buffalo, elephants, lions, giraffes, pythons, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, impalas, and many species of birds.
After the game drive, you’ll go back to Camp Bastian for dinner and an overnight stay for the next day’s schedule.

Day 2

Maasai Culture then Safari to Dar es Salaam

Before an early breakfast, you will go for a Maasai Culture to learn about Polygamic style, different arts and crafts, dancing, and buying some gifts for family or friends.
After the Maasai tour, you’ll go back to the camp for preparation of safari to Dar es Salaam.
